A square as an example

Creating a square is not that easy at all! Of course, one has to understand the concept of four sides of equal length and four angles of 90 degrees. But to put the lines in their correct positions, making sure they have the same length and the corners are 90 degrees and using a ruler and measuring the angles with a protractor is a tedious process. Once this is understood and has been done a few times, this is not very rewarding anymore. Having a tool to create a square in the desired size makes drawing much more efficient. The same applies to shapes like various types of triangles, ellipses, regular polygons and spur wheels.

The real win; more than basic shapes

The win of the TactiForma tools is already in your hands by creating a single basic shape with ease. However, the real advantage shows when applying combinations of the various tools with their built-in ‘mathematical’ features in your drawings, whether for artistic or more technical oriented subjects. By using pushpins for alignment or as referential markings, the accuracy of the drawing will be further improved.

Product characteristics

  • The tools have such dimensions that they can be manipulated by children’s hands.
  • The tools are suitable for left or right hand usage.
  • Each tool offers enough variation in size to make it useful.
  • Where possible, the tools have the in-line shape for easy drawing.
  • The tools have anti-slip material at the bottom.
  • Pushpin markers are present to fixate the tool on the TactiPad drawing board.
  • The positioning/ alignment of the tool in the drawing or with another tool has natural measurement units in centimetres, even when rotating the tool.
  • It is easy to place and hold the tool on the TactiPad drawing board with finger grips.
  • It is easy to recognise a particular tool.
  • Measurement indications and indents help to measure distance and size.
  • The tools compensate for the ‘drawing loss’. The inner space of the tools is a little wider to make sure that, when drawing along the inner contour, the raised lines of the shape have the exact dimensions.

The TactiForma tool descriptions and manual sections really deserve your attention because this will increase the level of finesse in your output.
