1.01 Safety Instructions

! It is advised to keep clear of the MDA while it is in operation. Special care needs to be taken to not place your fingers in the slots along the sides of the MDA’s bed, as well as between the moving pen and the stepper motor on top of the arm. !

Do not place/hold items sensitive to magnetism in proximity to the pen. The pen contains a strong magnet. !

The stepper motors that move the arm backwards and forwards and the pen from side to side, are relatively strong and can cause minor injuries when your fingers are caught between moving parts.

Those with a visual impairment that wish to follow the movement of the MDA while it is creating the drawing can carefully place a finger on the very top of the casing around the pen; this allows you to follow along without the risk of injuries or interrupting the drawing.
